• Description

  Tara is tall and thin, has long white hair that frame her face and, because they're very long on her forehead, she uses an useful pair of aviator glasses to keep them up. Her ice eyes are accompanied by a pair of thick and dark eyebrows that make her glance look fierce and still. Her dress is a mix of a classic 1800s dress and something more comfortable: she has dusty pink puff sleeves, a leather corset and a pair of boots of the same material; a large blanket is placed on her hips, in case of necessity, tied to her belt, where she puts gun powder and little or important objects; her outfit is completed by a pair of puff trousers, which make her more comfortable and able to rapidly move, and a pair of dark gloves without fingers. Tara is a fighter: she will face everything that comes in her path, doesn't matter if it's too dangerous. For this, she always brings with her a sword, with which she's very skillful, and a couple of guns, just to be sure. Also, she usually brings a foulard to cover her mouth, while she puts everything else in a leather backpack on her shoulders.

• Biography

  Born in a British aristocratic family, Charlotte grew up following her parents and society's orders: be a perfect daughter for your father, be a perfect sister for your brother, be a perfect wife for your spouse. In the Victorian age, all she could be was a man's feather in the cap, had to be gentle and noble, kind of heart and acculturate, sociable and capable of listening, so someone could like her enough to take her as his wife. And everything she felt in return for these rules was hatred: her way of thinking was born through Mary Shelley's Frankenstein, Charlotte Bronte's Jane Eyre and Byron's characters. She thought life was so much more than vaporous dresses and brunches, she wanted the kind of adventure that only books could offer; moreover, she couldn't stand the patriarchal society she lived in and wanted to be free from everything that tied her to that cage. Too afraid to actually do something about, she found refuge in her books: she spent entire days reading, chapter after chapter, escaping in worlds where she could be everything she wanted. She found major interest in books about mechanic and engineering and started to develop some skills in creating little objects, thanks to her closest friends. And whilst she became more and more involved in the fantasy world, drifting away from reality, she began to search for a way to actually enter these beautiful places she could only read about; the more she learned about adventures, the more she wanted to have one on her own, becoming skillful in mechanics, fencing and some languages. Her mother didn't appreciate at all this behavior of hers, but little she could do when Charlotte found the Book: it was beautiful, the cover was made of gemstones and, though it seemed very old, it was complete and even had some pages left blank. The legend behind it was too interesting to not take a hold of it to understand if it was true ... And it was. She fell, just like all the previous owners, and her adventure finally had a start, but maybe not in the way she wanted. Lost in a paper thin world full of people from the past, she was trapped and didn't know how to find her way out, scared of what was happening: but she took a hold of herself and decided it was time to live that adventure she had always wanted. Though dark and dangerous, she followed her path, becoming that steam-punk warrior everyone in the Book knows about ...
